Step 1 remove pedals and crank
we need to change the pedals to the new crank , but sometimes it's very hard to tear down , so i choose to buy a new pair .
Step 2 remove mid-axle and grip
different mid-axle need fifferent tools , use the suitable tool .
you need to install the throttle , left or right ? you choose . if your regions not allowed throttle , you don't need to remove the grip .
Step 3 install bafang motor
when install the motor , make sure the bottom bracket must touch the groove of the motor
never let the chainstay touch the shoulder of the motor
if it does, that might cause damege to the internal gear , here is a big gear inside .
Also , remember lifting the motor upper if the motor in low position , the motor will more likely be hited in some tough terrains .
then , tight this plate ,this towards inside,
next nut , this nut is very important , after we tight the plate , there might be little gap between the bottom bracket .
after that , install the chain wheel ...... this is the chain wheel cover ,i don't need that .
then ,install the crank and pedal , pay attention to the left or right marked at here .
Step 4 install speed sensor
the gap between sensor and magnet should no more than 2mm .
Step 5 install display
many people would mount it at the middle of the handle bar , some may left or right , i prefer left , but there is not enough space .
Step 6 install throttle
careful if your regions not allowed the throttle .
Step 7 install brake sensor
i found a perfect place for the sensor
Step 8 install the battery
this is a down tube battery , the battery base can be installed on the down tube , plug the battery , locked , power on .
Step 9 connect cables
colour to colour , pair to pair , follow the arrow , very easy .
attention : 1 to 4 cable keep enough length at front ,rotate the handle bar for 180 degree , it must loose ,if it too tight , that will damege the cable while fall down .
i suggest you install the front chain guide , if you don't have it ,when you in tough ride on bumping terrains and you are shifting gears , the chain might fall off.
It's very important for you to shift gears while riding with mid drive . i will make a video only about that .
the motor wires should be carefully passed , you can pass around the ,motor ,
or pass inside the chainstay if have enough space . but be careful zip the wires tightly and keep away from the wheel .
Do not pass the wire between the motor and frame ,sometimes if the motor come to loose after crash or tough pedaling , the wires might be crashed by the motor , and cause electronic short circuit , you may lost the entire system .
Also , never pass the wire under the motor , some bump terrains may hit the wires .
